Who

Mairon Croes is the name, but I also go online by “Gridcoder”.

I am an engineer at heart, probably thanks to my dad who I always saw tinkering with stuff.
My skillset includes “full stack” web development and ui/ux design among other things.
I possess a bachelor of engineering degree in media technology and I am active in both the private and public sector.

I have a passion for tech with thoughtful design.
I spend most of my days reading, listening, watching, learning or tinkering with something cool to try to make life a little easier.

In between all that, I spend time with my very understanding better half and my friends, or indulging in some form of entertainment when time permits.

What

My personal site (wip) where I share stuff. The real company website, which is also in the works, will take it’s place eventually.

Why

I don’t always have a lot to say, but when I do I need a place to publish them, hence why.

So what’s up with the name?
Well, when I started my IT/development business around 2012, I needed a name.
Since I really like the movie Tron, and I figured everything runs on code, “The Codegrid” was born.
Also, the domain was available.

And with that, you can probably figure out where the nickname “gridcoder” came from.
